Project Consultant (Management Trainee)

Level: Management Trainee

As a project consultant, you will play a key role supporting senior members on client projects. You will be helping to identify areas in which our solutions will add value, and assess its potential impacts to our clients. You will also contribute to project strategies, and their successful implementation and measurement.

Whether involved in one project or a number of projects, your day to day responsibilities will include attending meetings, ensuring you have the data required to support the team, meeting stakeholders for requirements gathering, liaising with valued clients and presenting key findings to key project stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a Project Consultant to work closely with a client and manage the project direction in order to ensure the delivery of a Management System that fits their customised needs.

Project Overview

We are working on a project expected to last approximately two years. The project involves building a comprehensive management system:

  • Workflow and inventory tracking
  • Inventory quality control
  • Accounting integration
  • Report generation
  • Additional features like vehicle and driver scheduling, factory process tracking, and client-side inventory management

The system will be developed using RFID and web technologies to create browser-based and mobile applications that run on Android and Windows operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with stakeholders in the project, including end-users, the accounting department, and management
  • Organise project internal information, such as timelines, requirements, and communications
  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports on milestones
  • Facilitate meetings with the client and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Malay
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Proactive team player, willing to bring attention to issues
  • Understanding of ​​project management methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with UX and design tools such as Figma
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Experience with hotel and hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in consulting projects in any capacity
  • Previous experience in delivering software projects
  • Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin
